Το 42 zone hub, είναι η βάση της κολεκτίβας παραστατικών τεχνών 42 zone. Ο χώρος επίσης φιλοξενεί καλλιτέχνες και ομάδες που θέλουν να αναπτύξουν τη δουλειά τους και να την παρουσιάσουν ενώπιον ενός μικρού κοινού.
Η ομάδα παραστατικών τεχνών 42 zone δημιουργήθηκε το 2017 από επαγγελματίες του θεάτρου. Οι παραστάσεις της έχουν ως βάση κυρίως σύγχρονα, ελληνικά έργα, με κοινωνικό, πολιτικό και φιλοσοφικό προβληματισμό. Στόχος της ομάδας είναι η δημιουργική διαδικασία να γίνεται αφορμή για έρευνα, πειραματισμό και υιοθέτηση συμπεριληπτικών και ανοιχτών προς την κοινότητα πρακτικών.
Στον στενό πυρήνα της ομάδας 42 zone ανήκουν ο συγγραφέας Ηλίας Μαρούτσης και ο ηθοποιός και μουσικός Κώστας Χατζηδημητρίου. Άλλοι τακτικοί συνεργάτες είναι οι: Esther Andre Gonzalez (σκηνοθέτης), Κική Μπάκα (χορογράφος ), Γεωργία Τσαγκαράκη (σκηνοθέτης) κ.α.
Η ομάδα έχει παρουσιάσει:
- Το Ημερολόγιο της Λένια, του Ηλία Μαρούτση. Σκηνοθεσία Esther Gonzalez (2017, Gallery Snehta Αθήνα, Φεστιβάλ εικαστικών τεχνών και λογοτεχνίας ).
- Ο Τσέχωφ βωβός; του Ηλία Μαρούτση. Σκηνοθεσία Esther Gonzalez. (2018 Από Μηχανής Θέατρο. Αθήνα).
- Γκλόρυ Νταίηζ, με την ομάδα Άνθρωπός στη Θάλασσα. Σκηνοθεσία Κλαίρης Χριστοπούλου (θέατρο Άνετον Θεσσαλονίκη).
- Ιεροί Άνθρωποι, του Ηλία Μαρούτση, σε σκηνοθεσία Esther Andre Gonzalez με την επιχορήγηση του Υπουργείου Πολιτισμού (2020, Θέατρο Αργώ).
Το 2021 η καλλιτεχνική ομάδα επιχορηγήθηκε από το Υπουργείο Πολιτισμού για τη διενέργεια έρευνας με σκοπό τη συγγραφή νέου έργου. Η έρευνα αφορά τις δυναμικές εξουσίας στην κοινότητα των σεξεργατριών / σεξεργατών της Αθήνας.

42 zone hub is the base of the performing arts collective 42 zone. The space also hosts artists and groups who want to develop their work and present it to a small audience.
The performing arts collective 42 zone was created in 2017 by theater professionals. Their performances are based mainly on contemporary Greek plays, with social, political and philosophical concerns. One of the collective’s goals is that the creative process becomes a reason and a vessel for research and experimentation, as well as for following and integrating inclusive and open to the community practices.
The narrow core of the 42 zone group includes the playwright Elias Maroutsis and the actor and singer Kostas Hatzidimitriou. Other regular collaborators are: Esther Andre Gonzalez (director), Kiki Baka (choreographer), Georgia Tsagaraki (director), et al.
The collective has presented:
- Lenia’s Diary, by Elias Maroutsis. Directed by Esther Gonzalez (2017, Gallery Snehta Athens, Festival of Fine Arts and Literature).
- Chekhov, silent? by Elias Maroutsis. Directed by Esther Gonzalez. (2018 Ex Machina Theater. Athens).
- Glory Days, with the group Man at Sea. Directed by Claire Christopoulou (Aneton Thessaloniki Theater).
- Sacred People, by Elias Maroutsis. Directed by Esther Andre Gonzalez with the subsidy of the Ministry of Culture (2020, Argo Theater).
In 2021 the artistic group was subsidized by the Ministry of Culture in order to conduct a research and create a new play. The research focuses on the power dynamics in the community of sex workers of Athens.
